New ECDL Syllabus 5 Courseware
Great news - we now have the new ECDL Syllabus 5 available on CoursesForYou! Activ Training Ltd are our first supplier to be able to make the new course available to our clients.

This new title is very cost effective for all learners looking to undertake the ECDL course, as well as for learners who are simply looking to improve their general computer skills or to develop their skills in a certain area.

ECDL is a relevant and internationally recognised qualification for computer users designed to improve understanding and efficient use of computers. It is widely recognised by employers as proof of ability and competence when working with IT. No prior knowledge of IT or skills are needed to study this course as it is designed for people who are looking to gain a benchmark qualification in computing.

We have three ECDL Syllabus 5 courses listed on the system, so you need to ensure you order the correct title dependent on your learners needs:

ECDL Syllabus 5 (XP) - European Computer Driving Licence
ECDL Syllabus 5 (2003) - European Computer Driving Licence
ECDL Syllabus 5 (2007) - European Computer Driving Licence

The new ECDL Syllabus 5 covers the following modules:

• Module 1 - Security for IT Users
• Module 2 - IT User Fundamentals
• Module 3 - Word Processing
• Module 4 - Spreadsheets
• Module 5 - Database Software Module 6 - Presentation Software
• Module 7 - Using E-mail and the Internet

In addition, all users who purchase the seven ECDL modules will be given access to the Improving Productivity module. We are currently waiting for the supplier to release this module. However, if you place the order before this happens, we will automatically add it to learners logins once we have access to it. For more information on the course, please click on the relevant product title above.

The seven module ECDL maps to the international ECDL syllabus with the exception of Module 1 which has been designed to meet UK standards.

It is also worth noting that the BCS and ECDL Portfolio of qualifications has been designed to map directly into ITQ so that when you gain a BCS or ECDL certificate you will also be receiving ITQ certification.

Please Note: As with earlier ECDL courses, the titles we offer are just for training purposes. If learners wish to sit the exams, they will need to do this at a registered test centre and may be charged a fee to do this. However, there is no obligation to take the ECDL exams at the end of the course.
